How you opt in
Current clients give consent by phone during their initial intake conversation when they provide a mobile number and agree to receive texts about their case. We record the date, time, and exact consent language. Visitors to honest.law may separately opt in to coverage-check texts through that website's form; those are governed by honest.law's consent language.
How clients opt in — the exact consent script
Text-message consent is collected verbally during each new client's intake phone call. Our staff reads the following script, word for word, before any message is ever sent:
"Would you like to receive text messages from Honest Injury Lawyers about your case at this mobile number? Messages will include your fee agreement signing link, your Client Portal link, case status updates, and reminders. Message frequency varies with your case. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to cancel, or HELP for help. Saying no does not affect your representation in any way."
Only if the client answers yes is consent recorded — with the date, time, and this exact language — in our case management system, before the first message is sent.
What we send
Messages about your case only — confirmation of your signed agreement, your private Client Portal link, requests for documents or information, case status updates, appointment and check-in reminders. We do not send marketing or promotional texts on this program.
How often
Varies by case activity; typically a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from texts. You'll get one confirmation text and no more. Opting out does not affect your representation — we'll reach you by phone, email, or your Client Portal instead. Reply HELP or call/text 888-850-8549 for help.
Privacy
We don't sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text opt-in information with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
